RIGHTEOUSNESS What do you understand by righteousness? Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Man has not been able to attain to God standard of righteousness Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing , and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Difference between righteousness and holiness to know the full meaning the first time it was use was in exodus Exodus 3:5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Who can explain this? Man thing or object can be holy because any thing set apart for the use of God is declared holy. 1 Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Man can attain holiness but not righteousness.
