THE CAIN FACTOR

  Genesis 4:9  And the LORD said unto Cain, Where   is   Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not:   Am   I my brother’s keeper? It behooves us to be curious about the first murderer in creation. For in doing so we look at the mindset of one of our first parents. Right from the time of Sunday school in children’s class we are told that Cain offering was not acceptable because it was too meager and the selfish man Cain would not want to part with the best to God. They leave us with the impression that God being huge needed an enormous sacrifice that will satisfy him, Aunty forgets to tell us that the earth is the lord’s and his fulness. [ Psalms 24:1  The earth  is  the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein]. talk about kids! Abel, funny enough this signifies ‘vanity’, did not show any trace of vanity. His sacrifice, which was made as atonement for sin to the most high God, was accepted for there was blood to take his place as a substitute. For God ind
