GOVERNOR FIRES A PASTOR FOR HIS WIFE'S SAKE

According to report there is anger at the chapel of Christ  the light, Alausa, Lagos state, after the presiding chaplain, venerable Femi Taiwo, was sacked by the governing council on the order of the state governor Akinwumi Ambode. You can read the whole story on most Nigeria dailies.

Psalms 11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

'The one who pays the piper has ran to the husband and they both have decided he must go as they do not like the tune he is playing'.

Is like a scene from our NOLLYWOOD, but this time is not . This is for real.

I dare to say that it is not raining, but pouring. I have too much on my mind and do not really know where to begin this issue. In a nutshell the story goes like this:  Some facts worth knowing.
Firstly, the church is under the Lagos state ministry of home affairs.
secondly, the office of the Lagos state first lady supervises the church
This is the foundation the church was build on and this is how it has always been operating. The orthodox church in Russia is tied to the government, The Anglican church is not too far from the influence of Buckingham palace either. If you do not want to follow the laws in these churches you remove your collar and take your leave quietly. Do not ask me whether it is biblical, wrong or upright. For when a foundation is faulty you do not carry out the repairs on the top, but rather on the same foundation. I can come out now berating and screaming 'sacrilege' which I know, such cries  may soon rend the air, but look at the foundation first. Brother Femi Taiwo, you are called of God I want to believe that. when you accepted this pastoral appointment did you not know how the chapel was  run? Did you not seek the face of God? If you did, then it is your cross carry it well. if not then that may be your undoing. It is a common saying that he that pays the piper dictates the tune. you serve in a   church run and funded by the state government, more the  church is under the ministry of home affairs what did you expect? throw protocols away and call it holiness? or you wanted to be branded as a chaplain who do not respect man? A john the Baptist of your day. There is nothing wrong with being such a chaplain, but you must make your personality dictate and led you in your choice of pastoral appointment. obviously I do not think this is the case here. Your assistant has taken over without ado. no qualms no solidarity. what kind of church do you think you run?
Again every one has ego. she is the first lady and was placed there either by God , hook or crook means and she will have you remembered that aspect. She may not be the kind of Christian you  expect. We can see that from the way she took action.[ Report says she refused to be entreated by women like herself]
Sadly enough most of our big ministries equally will likely follow the same way if the mama of the ministry is ignored , not heralded or have at least three ushers to bring her in. They may not do the sacking, but you will be transferred to a place where you will toil and sweat, where you will meet with frustration and constant report to the G.O. All na the same boo.
My beloved in the lord, shut your ears to the press over this issues do not check social media just face the wall and let God direct you. It may be that God is making HIS highways in your calling. you might not understand now. Again, I want you to know that God's calling is without repentance, you are called of God and let him appoint you, too, to a local church where you will be free to let all know that before God there is no respecter of persons, a place all will listen and learn. Not a government sponsored church. with moles all round you. Psalms 11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? May be, this time the righteous should relocate . This is my thinking, though or what do you think?
