Ghanaian Court Returns Ownership Of Winners Chapel Ghana To WCI.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

One of the foremost church ministry that has literally taken Christ’s instruction and run with it is Winners chapel international ministry, whose headquarter is in Sango Ota in Ogun State, Nigeria. Thiss year, despite the pandemic, the church met its target of 10,000 church-planting goal in Nigeria and 730 branches outside the country. One of the fallout of carrying out church planting is the breakaways of overseers of the branches and the ensuing litigations that follows, which often takes years and often distract the ministry from other spiritual and contemporary activities aimed at soul winning and church growth. Sometimes the branch pastors could teach doctrines and other tenets which may be contrary to the church teachings and Doctrines. WCI, AKA Winner has had its own fair share of such experiences. It was a celebrated case when of the pastor in Ghana, Bishop George Adjeman, suddenly cut off ties with the headquarters and converted the church properties in Accra Ghana to his own registered ministry in 2004.

The High Court had earlier given judgement in favour of the Bishop George Adjeman led group in 2017. It is expected that Bishop Adjeman would appeal the case to the Supreme Court of Ghana, which is the highest judicial body in Ghana.
