IT IS CHURCH ADMINISTRATION

1 Corinthians 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

2 Kings 5:22 And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.

Having branches and young men and inexperience men as pastors in these branches poise a danger to the body of christ.

The first verse refers to the church administration in the new testament. This is not a prophecy nor a vision, this is a typical church administration. Every church has one. Anyone who has gone through the four walls of a good bible seminary knows that there is church administration in any church except of course the so called prophetic churches where the so called Daddy does whatever appeals to him at an instant moment. That judas was treasurer is a kind of Administration.

The second verse refers to those who are students and servants before they become masters. Gehazi in the bile belongs to this class but failed woefully to make it.

I once pastor an international church here in the Netherlands. it was very exciting and a vast experience for me. Though i have gone through it all in Nigeria: children ministry, youth ministry and men’s ministry before travelling abroad. When the founder came from Nigeria to plant this branch, they ordained me as the pastor; despite my young age; indeed, i was the youngest residence pastor in Netherlands. After the initial support from the headquarter in Nigeria, they expect you to be on your feet after six months. What this means is to pay for your hall, take care of other necessities as they come, without bothering the headquarter or another branch in Europe. Every church ministry operates an administration they feel led. it is not new for a branch to make some part of their offering as a financial support to the enormous church. The reason for this is the story making the headlines in Nigeria about the sack letters given to some pastors of Winners church. Every branch of a church is expected to grow and open another branch; every branch pastor is given a task. What is the task given to you before they gave you that branch? Truth be told, any pastor who does not bear fruit after sometime will not have it easy with his senior pastor or zonal leader. The rate at which many who do not know the things about the church of God and how it is being governed[ yes there is a government in the church ] leaves much to be desired. This is mindboggling.

However, opening a branch to a young and inexperience pastor is taking it too far. Every trade or calling needs supervision. One must learn to be a servant before he can be a master.

Winners should slow down and concentrate on raising matured and experience married pastors to head branches, not young men who know little about their calling or how a church is run. That one of the men who got the letter felt treated badly and took it online for all to read’ he granted an interview and felt justified! woe is that kingdom who has a baby for a king. Winners should rethink their posturing in these regards otherwise many more of these men will come out to betray their trust and show their lack of spiritual insight.

Here is a copy of the letter that was given to this unfruitful pastor who put it online:
