WHEN MEN DIE

Revelation 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. I welcome the news about death not because i desire the death of anyone, but it gives me hope that the word of God is ever true; for he has said Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: The day man will proffer a solution to aging and death that day, I will renounce my faith in God and all that his son Jesus has done for me. That is hoping for the impossible, for no man has a solution or the antidote for death. For the past few months i have heard of the passing of people; some I admire because of their contribution they made to the society, some because of their wealth and some because of their infamy and others because of the vanity they displayed whilst they lived like they will never die. News of death, though it shocks and shakes the foundation of many because of how close they were to the departed, should have an overall effect on all of us. It is a time a pastor should not allow it to pass without preaching again the message of salvation, for there is no better time than the time of mourning to preach about the wickedness of death and the way out via the death on the cross for it is Jesus who defeated death that through him we may live eternal life.John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. This is the supreme message of Christianity. This is our task, not the so-called miracle and faith healings we see or hear about on those who have not received salvation. The joy of salvation is an experience all serious faith believers should experience. It is the joy of having peace with God and knowing you have eternal life after you die. How can God heal those who have not believed and those who believe in other sources of power? Since when have the children’s meat be meant for outsiders? How can those who have not believed in Jesus now receive the miracles and the healings so displayed? please answer me. Salvation proceeds with blessings and not the other way round. It should be a time to reflect on what is life, a time the man planning to kill, steal or destroy on hearing about the death of someone should stop there and then, his nefarious plan. It should be a time the politician who engage in do or die politics should have a rethink, a time the evil man who practices divination and kill all the time with spiritual powers should know that one day he too must go whether through the orchestration of man or death comes knocking. For who can resist ‘mister death’, when he comes to calling? Death typified as a person refuses to go without taking you along, no matter the excuse you may render. Go you must with it. If one could bribe death, many would save so that when it come, they would fill his truck or car or whatever means he came, but no way the time we have is the time he has chose not to call sometime he by pass your house and our desk at the place of work and takes the other man away. At other times, we have a close shave with him through accident or other means. Such time ought to make us think deeply about our existence and question our motives in all we do now. Remember, no matter who you are when you pass away, somebody is going to access how you have contributed to the betterment of your environment or how much confusion you have caused. But God gave pastors, church leaders and all the saved ones a message which many have ignored for filthy lucre sake and here is the meassge: Ezekiel 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Ezekiel 18:24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. Alter calls for those who want to receive salvation is no longer in many churches today, but closing blessings of plenty and stupendous wealth for the following week May God help us. Maranatha!
