NOT SO, BROTHER DELE BANJO

 Not so long ago, the social media platforms were awash with the open letter of one Dele Banjo,who claim to be a member of Deeper life ministry. In that said letter, he equally calls himself a political activist, anti-indecency campaigner, Christian teacher and the founder of the anti-indecency charity. He flays and faulted the general overseer of the ministry for allowing conventional music into the church thus, compromising what he has taught them for long. He frowns at the invitation the G.O. extended to gospel musician the likes of Don Moen. He wants gospels, hymns, and songs to remain the status quo.

Here are the reasons I think he has missed it:

Church doctrines are neither the ten commandments nor the christian law which Paul the apostle says is now written in our hearts. Hebrews 10:16, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

It is fear of altering doctrines that has made a known sect stick to non-compliance with blood transfusion, even if a life is trembling in the balance.

It is fear of altering of doctrine that Catholic church still has an image of Mary and prays through her even though there is nowhere the bible advocates us to pray through Mary. please read with me1 Timothy 2:5; For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; moreover, none of the saints of old nor those who wrote some epistles ever gave us any hint in thier writings that will portray Mary to serve as a mediator for us.

It is the fear of change that made catholic priest be eunuchs even when it is now too obvious that many can not keep the vow of celibacy.

It is the fear of change that has made a global ministry still maintains a prayer format that says die, die, die to thier enemies even though God does not wish anyone death. Ezekiel 33:11, Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Doctrines are man made for all that is worth. As long as it become obsolete, do away with it. Reasonable members ought to know that there are some doctrines that should be deleted no matter the backlash, it show maturity and a desire to tailor doctrines to meet the lost youth that are out there, looking for a way forward, and many have fallen into the hands of radical teachings from other religion today.

We serve a God who will do anything to save his creature, but will never compromise with evil or any form of sin. He is like a father loving for his baby, but will never embrace the child with faeces just to prove his love, but will do all it takes to clean up the child then the cuddling can continue, but not before the cleaning. Get an of this ineffable love in John 3:16-17; ‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved’.

Today, they have converted the majestic buildings that used to be the citadel of worship centre in Europe to theatre houses and movies parks because worshippers are becoming extinct! Their children will never come to church because the activities are boring them to death thanks to doctrine!

Brother Banjo, please I appeal to you to renew your mind and have an open one, for the bible says in the book of 2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

The spirit leads the children of God, not by the written dogmas and doctrines that will enslave them. I am a person of few words, but I hope this will meet you well.

  MUST ATTEND A CHURCH THAT BELIEVE IN PROSPERITY . The pupilt is what tranforms and build a man. When a pupilt is powerful with the word of God it translates into the life of the people in the pews. When a pastor receives a word concerning healing, prosperity, faith in God, whatever he receives when delivered like a good messenger, not missing it it will robs off on the congregation; that is a church. It is not all the time that God may have a specific word for the church , but it rests on the pastor to give the word like he ought to.   Today, we round up this series. I hope the Holy spirit will expand these seeds in you, for indeed, the word of God needs illumination through the working holy spirit. Teachers only ignite the flame and the Holy spirit illumines it to those who are willing.
