Daddy Freeze Fined N5Million For Adultery With Benedicta Elechi

 

A High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, on February 18, 2021, ordered popular broadcaster, Ifedayo Olarinde, aka Daddy Freeze, to pay the sum of N5m for committing adultery with his lover, Benedicta Elechi. Ifedayo Olarinde, aka Daddy Freeze, is famous for taking on popular preachers in Nigeria and making a mockery of them. He has called them as fake and asked that their members should leave their church. He is known to take on any scandal involving anyone called a pastor. He came into limelight when he called on all members of the churches in Nigeria to stop paying their tithes calling the pastors thieves and robbers. He has verbally abused Bishop David Oyedepo, calling him the bald-headed, short man and only apologise when another pastor took him on that calling him a ‘bastard’.

Daddy Freeze was ordered to pay the money to Paul Odekina, who was married to Elechi at the time the adulterous act was committed.

In the court documents obtained by one of our correspondents, with the suit no PHC/403MC/2012, Mrs Benedicta Nkemdilim Odekina is the Petitioner/Cross Respondent, while Mr Paul Odekina is 1st Respondent/Cross Petitioner and Ifedayo Olarinde (Freeze) is the Co-Respondent to Petition/Cross Respondent.

The presiding Judge, Hon Justice Akpughunum, ruled that the OAP should pay the sum of N5m as “damages for depriving Odekina amiable consort of his wife”.

The document read in part, “The sum of N5,000,000 is awarded against Ifedayo Olarinde as damages for depriving the cross petitioner of the amiable consort of his wife and for injury suffered because of his adultery with the petitioner/cross respondent.

The judge then dissolved the marriage between Paul and Benedicta due to Benedicta’s adulterous act with Daddy Freeze.

“An order of Decree Nisi is hereby granted, dissolving the marriage contracted between Paul Ochenu Odekina and Benedicta Nkemdilim Elechi-Agunabo on 26/1/2002 at the Chaplaincy of the Holy Rosary CIWA at Port Harcourt on the ground that the marriage has been broken down irretrievably by reason of the Petitioner/ Cross respondent having committed adultery and intolerable behaviour of the petitioner/cross respondent which the respondent cannot be expected to live with the petitioner/cross respondent,” the document read.

Paul was also granted custody of the children produced in the marriage, while Benedicta was ordered to hand over the children’s passports and birth certificates.

In a phone interview with one of our correspondents, Daddy Freeze confirmed the development but noted that he would release a statement on his Instagram page in due time. On reader put in this way Criticizing genuine men of God in the open, destroying people’s marriages in the secret.. shame on you freeze, and those that call you daddy. Daddy freeze will go on social media and be chanting free the sheeple… criticizing men of God for reasons best known to him and here destroying marriages, cos he couldn’t take his hands off another man’s woman. damages indeed. Don’t know if it’s karma, but you can’t have a log in your eye and be embittered by the beam in someone else’s.self righteousness is filth B4 God.

The bible did not stop us from correcting false doctrines or criticism ,but here are the thing:Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

1, Before you set out to correct, you have automatically made yourself to be more spiritual.

2, Do the correction with the spirit of meekness.

3, if not, the law of karma will make sure you get your disgrace by showcasing your own fault to the world.
