Quest for Eternal life[2]

" And fear not them which kill the body, but cannot kill the soul,": — Jesus Christ 'Death smiles at all of us and all we can do is smile back",--Marcus Aurelius. Jesus, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace, said to us that this "body" we carry around is not immortal; it is a body with death attached to it. A temporal body, given us to go through our journey while accomplishing our purpose on this earth. This our body so cherish by men will succumb to death one day. A body, so vulnerable to attack and death, by the hands of men, and sickness with other eventualities that takes its toll on it. This human body, submits like the three prong attack, see John 10:10, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.] But there is something we can carry around which cannot be touch by another human being and that is the soul. Yet, i...

QUEST FOR ETERNAL LIFE.[1]

“Luke 18:18  And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” Man, from a time immemorial, has always nursed a desire to live without experiencing death, expiration or stoppage of the heartbeat; if there is any price to pay in-order to live for eternity,to have a life without end, most men would certainly go for it . On the frontline would be the billionaaires and the last roll would be the poorest, who would like ti get it by hook or crook means. What comes with aging is looked at with trepidation, we try trying to stop it from coming; If we can not then it is best to hide it from sight. Is it gray hair or balding , is it growing weaker by the year? man has found the solution in transplants and wigs, workout and cardio activities. The Bible talks about the advent of old age in the book of  Ecclesiastes 12:1-6,  Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when...

Archaeology supports Balaam once lived

John 20:29  Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed   are   they that have not seen, and   yet   have believed. ARCHAEOLOGICAL evidence linked to the Biblical character Balaam can prove the people mentioned in the Bible were historical figures, a scripture expert has astonishingly claimed. According to the Bible Old Testament, Balaam was a prophet and diviner, perhaps best known for his talking donkey. It describes his exploits in the Book of Numbers, which is the fourth book of the Hebrew Bible. Balaam is believed to have dwelt in the ancient lands of Mesopotamia, where Balak the king of Moab commissioned Balaam to curse the Israelites around the year 1400 BC. Professor Tom Meyer from Shasta Bible College and Graduate School in California, US, told Express.co.uk: “Balaam is probably best remembered for the Biblical account of his donkey speaking to him in a human voice to stop his insane action of cursing...

Self evaluation

Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? Let us read together Luke 9:54-56, And when his disciples James and John saw this , they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them . And they went to another village. Self evaluation is a humble yardstick to our capabilities, and how far people also rates us, by listening how other perceive our action or contributions to society. Even though relying on the external to know our worth is very difficult, as men often will acknowledge our worth after our departure from earth. With a christian, the way to know is through the word of God, the bible. The bible teaches us to test every spirit if it is of God, just like Jesus reb...

Extension of faith

2 Timothy 4:14-15 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.[KJV]In this era of social media, anyone can remain anonymous while spewing hate and insult, under the guise of free speech. Those targeted are often tempted to reciprocate in like manner. In this kind of scenario, the pastor or a person of who comes online to express his faith are mostly the target of such hate. If no constrains is applied, the victims find himself resorting to petitions God, to visit such persons with indignations and holy fury, that knows no bound. Many a times the christian who comes online to express his faith is bullied, insulted and called unprintable names. The subject of faith attracts negative comments than another subject. In the above passage, Apostle Paul did not mention the harm that the said Alexander the coppersmith did him, but from other bible reference we know that he was on...

PASTOR BASHING ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Man Quits Church As Pastor Tells Congregation To Contribute Money For Wife. Omooba Adeleye, has joined the crew. It is no news that social media dome is a hangout for lies, malice and exaggerations in negativity against the pastor. He just fired a good one at pastor[s] using[imaginary?] one as a scapegoat. Why not? If social media attacks kills- pastors ,evangelists and other workers in the "vineyard", especially the ones in Nigeria, would have all been cut down by hails of bullets from critics like Adeleye. Should anyone bother? No, of course, after all, one way to get attention, one way to attack clergymen is to go on social media, post a story that sound outrageous and can not be verified; one that would leave us with our mouth hanging, such as the above handle from X. It is a no brainer to bastardize and portray one religious sect in bad light, in a pluralistic society like ours on social media . Many indulge in this campaign of calumny because any bad news agains...

THE DEITY OF CHRIST

' Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased'. Jesus of Nazareth, the Messaih, was the only one whose coming into this world and mission was predicted, contrasted with founders of other major religions in the wolrd . Isaiah 9:6, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Matthew 3:3, For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.Christ, is the only one who had a forerunner sent to prepare the world for his coming in the person of john, the baptist Matthew 3:11-12, I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, ...
