Hemelvaartsdag.

 The word Hemelvaartsdag”, is Ascension-day in the Netherlands. This day is a holiday and I dare say, this is one of the two holidays in the country that bears any resemblance to Christianity. The majestic looking cathedrals having been converted to museum and others as shopping malls. The Ascensión of Jesus is one of the ultimate proofs of his divinity and his claim as the son of God. In the book of John 8:23, And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. Let me emphasis on the records that show that no founder of a major religion in the world has dared to say they are from above or called themselves the son of God. He healed the sick, raised the dead. He did miracles, the only religious founder with this record. The miracles Jesus did was to convince the people of his claim that he has been sent from God. Read the book of John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Mark 6:52, For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened. With Ascension, Jesus did the last claim that he was indeed, as the son of God. Mark 16:19, So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. During the stoning of Steven, he said he saw Jesus on the right hand of God: Acts 7:56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. The core of christian believe is that Jesus as a high priest is sited and making intercession for the believer.Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

He Died, Rose and Ascended are the most ultimate display of power on earth today, and there cannot never be another act that beats this. And Jesus Christ holds that record.

Extension of faith

  2 Timothy 4:14-15 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.[KJV]In this era of social media, anyone can remain anonymous while spewing hate and insult, under the guise of free speech. Those targeted are often tempted to reciprocate in like manner. In this kind of scenario, the pastor or a person of who comes online to express his faith are mostly the target of such hate. If no constrains is applied, the victims find himself resorting to petitions God, to visit such persons with indignations and holy fury, that knows no bound. Many a times the christian who comes online to express his faith is bullied, insulted and called unprintable names.The subject of faith attracts negative comments than another subject.
