FAITH IN ACTION[1] Posted bygodwinguobadiaJune 29, 2025
Deuteronomy 32:19-20 ” And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith”.
There is a new way of living when you become a Christian. The bible says when we become a christian, all things become new. see 2corinthians 5:17.And the way of life now that we are Christians is the way of living by faith. When you become a christian, you automatically have an opposition from your mind and from the world. Your mind does not want a change from the old ways it is used to and the otherworld comprising your social connections and others will also oppose your new way. Sometimes this opposition is very strong and threatens your very peace of mind. This is because in the world we have all that do not want you to live this way, this new life. Only faith can move you forward despite many contrary things that may come against you. See Romans 1:17, For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Faith is the way that brings us to God. It takes us out from our problems and go looking for Jesus; not waiting for him to somehow see us. see Mark 5:22-24 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him. Jairus came to Jesus’ faith brings us to God. Another person who came to Jesus was the woman with the issue of blood. Mark 5:25-27 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. Another person was Zacchaeus. see Luke 19:2-5 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at thy house. These people’s faith move them to look for Jesus.
