SO CALLED FULANI HERDSMEN MENANCE AND SOLUTION

'Defending the community you live against attacks without relying solely on the lean resources and logistics of the police, is what gave rise to various  vigilante group we see today.

Time and time again, we have  been woken from our sleep to the woeful news of how one community or the other have been plunged into grieve by night marauders known as Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria. What is our usual reaction? We go back to sleep the following evening, after exhausting our breath and fury, on social media and town hall gatherings, without looking for solutions to this continual menace. How many would be inventors, how many would be great statesmen, how many would be great spot men and others  whose contributions to the development of their fatherland could have brought glories have been cut down?  Our pulpit thunder with condemnation , faulting the present government, to the glee of the opposition, and . Sadly enough, there is not enough evidence that points to the  Fulani herdsmen  we all know, in our communities, that have hitherto live in peace with other tribes in Nigeria. Furthermore, the inspector general of police,  Ibrahim idris Kpotum, has stated times without number that the violent and blood thirsty so called Fulani herdsmen are not Nigerians. One is tempted to flow with this report -judging from the sophisticated weapons branded by these killers. Since when have the Fulani herdsmen with their dashikis, long staff, and flip flop slippers and bush hat become gun totters? Their guerrilla style attack and their ferocity and inhumane style is a pointer to trained terrorists. Let us not play into their hands by accusing the innocent Nigerians. One must establish the origins of these men and if the police who are in the know said they are not Nigerians why do we still play the ethnic card? The police have what it takes to determine where these ones come from and if no other source is available let us leave it at that and confront their evil deeds instead of allowing political gladiators to put the blame on the present government. Some pastors have openly condemn the present government from their pulpit. this is biblical as we are only allowed to condemn evil in the society without going political. Nevertheless, the writer is not here to tell you where they come from or who they are. When confusion like we are experiencing reigns, we play into the hands of these evil bandits. Defending our selves and loved one, is our right and is in the constitution. Let those areas and communities prune to attack take up the challenge , rally yourselves together, and make weapons your sleeping partners, expecting the so called Fulani herdsmen to on your family anytime. Enough of the killings. Men who could have been wonderful rulers of tomorrow have been cut short, men with uncanny wisdom to invent things have been lost, therefore, whether these killers are from within or without, does not matter now just rise up to defend yourselves and loved ones. Let us stop arguing, debating who they are and from what region. they are terrorist they are killers and they want to pelt the north against the south that knowledge is enough. In the above bible passage, we see that Christians have a right to defend themselves against perceived threat.
Nehemiah 4:9 Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them. 
One it is our duty as Christians and Islam to commit our predicament to God in prayers. For in this fight no religion faithfuls have been spared.
two, we have to play our own role. do something needful. protect your loved ones and your community.
