Extension of faith

2 Timothy 4:14-15 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.[KJV]In this era of social media, anyone can remain anonymous while spewing hate and insult, under the guise of free speech. Those targeted are often tempted to reciprocate in like manner. In this kind of scenario, the pastor or a person of who comes online to express his faith are mostly the target of such hate. If no constrains is applied, the victims find himself resorting to petitions God, to visit such persons with indignations and holy fury, that knows no bound. Many a times the christian who comes online to express his faith is bullied, insulted and called unprintable names. The subject of faith attracts negative comments than another subject. In the above passage, Apostle Paul did not mention the harm that the said Alexander the coppersmith did him, but from other bible reference we know that he was once a believer. Acts 19:33, And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people. It is believed that this Alexander was once with Paul, but somehow became a persecutor of Paul; what is our take here? It means it is not necessary to note the evil intended to us and start to analyze and dwell on it. We must not make mention by names of anyone who tries to harm us, petitioning them before our great God; He knows all. He knows what we go through as Christians.Asking God to kill or harm another human, no matter how outrageous his action may have been, is not being spiritual ; it shows we are carnal Christians. It shows lack of faith in God. That man may yet repent and become fervent for the things of God tomorrow, therefore, instead let us remember as always, that these men are the instruments, in the hands of the Devil;we must know this and deal with the appropriate enemy. And if we have any action against such men it is intercessions. Prayers for such men to come to the place of repentance . Come to the knowledge of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ. Jesus said in Luke 23:34,Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment and cast lots. Deacon Stepehen also petitioned Christ for the forgiveness of his killers see Acts 7:59-60, And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. Believers do not die, but go into deep sleep called  " tardema". 1 Thessalonians 4:14,  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.Telling God, how to deal with your enemy is nothing spiritual, but carnal; a carnal man can not wait for God because he does not have the patience to wait for God. Expressing bitterness and feeling revengeful, in prayer is no prayer at all; that prayer cannot find answers before our God who desires all men to repent. But we can rebuke. See these passages: Leviticus 19:17, Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.Luke 17:3, Take heed to yourselves:If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.1 Timothy 5:20, Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. If we pray to God for our enemies to die the only one who is happy is Satan, our adversary, because if they die there is no room for thier repentace and that is one more victory to him, but our God forbids.

See you in church!
