WHY ME?

Psalms 22:1, To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? These psalms was repeated on the cross of calvary as Jesus was fulling his mission to pay a price for the sins of the world. See Mark 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? To be forsaken by God means to be left unattended, left to be on your own , no divine protection and the gate of heaven is shut against your cries and agonies. If there is any one who knows what it is to be abandoned by the almighty it is the mighty God himself, yes the mighty God. When iniquity and sin becomes a clothing, when we wallow in sins and other evil mires, then it is a one way ticket to be abandoned by God who has promised to be there for us. See Psalms 91:15, He shall call upon me, and I wil...

THIS MONTH OF AUGUST

No month rolls out with similar events, talks, situations and circumstances in the same seconds, and minutes, and the hours, that leads up to the 24 hours, which makes up a day. The day may have the same day, like Friday or a Saturday, but it is not possible to implant or fix the conversation of yesterday in it. It comes with its own events and happenings and personal experience for us all. By this time yesterday, some of us were eating while some were visiting a loved one. some were being carried in stretchers into operating theatre while others were giving toasts. while many of us , indeed man would have loved to know how his day will begin and end , but that knowledge belongs to the , omnipotent one, Jehovah God. yet, that does not mean man do not try everyday to pry into their future life, "their tomorrow" . The irony for the Christians who practice this is it weakens their faith. Consulting anything, to tell you, about tomorrow is forbidden by God; the bible tells us in ...

More persuasive

All religion  believe in conversion; no religion discriminates by color, race or creed. They all believe all humans are the handiwork of a god; at least they are being honest with that. Despite the killings, and maiming associate with some of them, the ardent followers still welcome and indeed, like all other to embrace their ways and the god they worship. Good enough, these religions believes in morality and some truth in their teachings. Half truth is no truth because it is applied in order to sell a big lie. Even Satan has to apply some truth in other to sell his lies. But the one thing that separates Christianity from all other major religion is this question about life and death which all religions have addressed.  The eastern religions seem to play down the sacred nature Christianity, Islam and Judaism views life. Coincidentally the three believes in life after death. The belief in karma, a circle of rebirth till until the person achieves liberation or mystic pe...

THE BEST GIFT

Ecclesiastes 7:7 Surely oppression maketh a wise man mad; and a gift destroyeth the heart. Let us conclude this series. If you missed the first part you can peruse that later for your spiritual upliftment. While we are on this subject, it is noteworthy that Jesus, never frowned at receiving gifts  but on greed like was displayed b Gehazi, and Judas Iscariot, yet, gift can be use to explore your weakness and control and make you compromise your values. Men saddled with great responsibilities have fallen under this weapon. If you should reflect on the words of our lord and saviour   but on greed like was displayed b Gehazi, and Judas Iscariot, yet, gift can be use to explore your weakness and control and make you compromise your values. Men saddled with great responsibilities have fallen under this weapon. If you should reflect on the words of our lord and saviour The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, a...

THE BEST GIFT[1]

There are different kinds of gifts. Some in appreciation of you as a person, some in appreciation of your contribution to a goal, others in celebrating your coming of age. yet, there are gifts that have ulterior motives, gifts to make you compromise , gifts to sway you from what they see as a stiff opposition to their way of life. There are those who give you and it becomes a tool to blackmail you for as long as it takes. But this one thing we all must know is that man’s gift is not a perfect gift. There are gifts that are given with a good motive , but as time changes it is use as a yardstick to tell others of how ungrateful one can be. Some are given and you are expected to reciprocate and we see this in the politics being played out in many African countries, the poor folks are given a small bag of rice, and expected to vote for these politicians who afterwards becomes very corrupt and non performing ; it is very convenient for them to weaponize poverty to get their way with t...

The prosperity gospel[2]

The gospel, without any form of verbosity means the message of how jesus died to save mankind from damnation. john 3:3 is a good example of the gospel. But alas! men in their nature have tainted, this message of salvation. This error began in the 21st century. It was a way to appeal to some segment of the believers who were considered very poor and it was embarrassing to the some section of the church to see that. A passage was quickly sort in the bible to appease this ones and to urge then to develop the faith that will bring to then wealth which God desires for them to have. Another reason for this is for this churches with the message to improve their tithe base in order to meet their project for the year . How so? they say if this one do not give the little they have there is no way they can get increase and it shows they do not have faith in Gods ability to meet them at the point of their need. To buttress and drive their point home a passage was required and a most suitable...
