Our arms as weapons for victory
2 Samuel 22:35 He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
As believers, we are called to do battle in our walk with God; we are called into the military trenches to cast and to bind, to lose and to set free. As we all know, we encounter the host of hell many times as we go about to set captives free, whether in our household or in the church of God it is always a battle between light and darkness. Paul use a military terms to describe this when he said to his spiritual son timothy: 2 Timothy 4:1-2 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine. Please note we only charge a military man and all christian as military because we do warfare.
Our arms are not just there to hand by our side or to strap the latest jewelries. Paul said 1 Timothy 2:8 I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. What is it in our arms that means so much in the spirit? For one, the hands serves to command the devil, and he has no choice than to obey what we command him to do. Have you seen a deliverance ministration without the use of the hands? Never it is required to get and establish our authority as we cast out devils from homes and humans.
In psalms 18, King David the wonderful psalmist wrote a song which tells of his eventual triumph over his enemies as his throne became established over the house of the former king Saul whom Go has rejected. It is a powerful song that praises God for his power to deliver [the Moabites and the Amorites were also those who wanted to head of King David, but he defeated all his enemies because of Gods help. King David talked about the important of the hands in all these battles he had:2 Samuel 22:35 He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
One a bow is made from the strongest of wood with almost 100 percent elasticity; no bow snap in battle, it has never been heard because of the elasticity; yet David talking about how God had taught him and made use of his arms said God taught his hand to do the impossible; for if a bow can not be broken how much more is it impossible to broke a bow of steel. With God christian can do the impossible, Christians can take the prey out of the mouth of the predator. Next time inspect your hands and know there is more to it than the tattoos you have there.
Read this: Exodus 17:11-13 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
Transference of blessing can not take place without the use of the hands. From now appreciate those arms that God granted use and make us of it to give glory to his name in worship and also to command the devil.
MARANATHA!
