WE SHALL FINISH WELL

We are now in the second ember month. Many believes in the months of September, October, November and December are trying months and these months the devil double his effort to steal, destroy and kill. John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. So far, many men have gone beyond. many also prepared to be with the lord and many sadly, could not do this. Many were also led to accept and confess christ as their personal lord and saviour.Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. they saw death gradually approaching to take them along and they also saw the grace of God through christ beckoning to them. The best offer a christian can do for a dying relative not yet saved is to quickly go and present this wonderful grace to the dying once again. In these few weeks of in October, let us cast our mind back to the month of March,April; It was faith we had to hold on to. No one was sure of anything. The virus was still without solution. But we had faith, and the world had faith. Today, that faith has not let us down. Here is revisiting a post I made during that time of lunching out. It is heartwarming to know that churches may open their doors to parishioners once again. We are in the middle of the year June and I dare say how significant that is. All things working together for good, we still have time to recover, renew and recapture faded visions and goals because of the pandemic and the consequent lockdown. June is, therefore, not just another month, but the middle of a journey embarked on in January 2020: you got to decide now whether to see the glass as half full or half empty but continue despite all that happened or stay with the past months and gradually pine away with it. [This rain fell on us all] We all do not have the same baggage in this journey some rely on others, some on their sheer strength others on their connection in the business still, too there are those who rely on their faith in God to reach the finishing line that as we took our journey to hit the mark of our destination sooner had we began than it all came crashing down for most people with the exceptions of a few. A virus, COVID-19 stealthily, came calling like a thief in the night with sorrow and death as its message. This thief that came out of a town in Wuhan, china spread its tentacles like a venomous octopus all over the world, daring us to come out. We did and death we saw. It plunged the entire world into a panic state, but ironically made us realise that no matter our country, our color or race we are in this together and COVID-19 do not make a distinction when it comes calling. Government shutdown was the order of the day and all we heard was,” stay indoors”,. with few exceptions, like shopping or a healthcare giver. Those who went for shopping came back wondering if they have unwittingly brought home the unwanted visitor with them: they used hand sanitizers with soap at each return from the beat. As the virus took its toll on man, the medical word was firing on all cylinders to find a cure, with few looking to God for a cure. The government rebuked many houses of faith for disobeying the lockdown orders and they arrested many pastors. But come the month of June the roll back began ‘ we can not stay inside and expect the economy to grow’. As we gradually return from the lockdown to meet again as believers, many may have stories to tell. As the church open it doors, it behooves us as believers to follow necessary health protocols as spelt out: ushers are to have with we should still observe them hand sanitizers in the hall. Sadly enough, some may have left us to be with the lord during this pandemic, some may remain at home for now because of underlying health issues. It has affected us all one way or the other by the pandemic. Whether we took ill like the biblical Trophimus or have lost a loved one like Mary and Martha., it is nothing new see [2 Timothy 4:20 Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick].The pleasant news is that there is hope for all who are in christ Jesus one that is not pin on things temporal one that is so strong that we are not moved by the things we see or the circumstance by we are moved by the word of God which abides forever. Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. The victory given to humanity goes far beyond what we see in this present dispensation.1 Corinthians 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. we live in obedience to our saviour and total submit to his will for our individual’s life. Those who died in this pandemic know that they are going to ripe the full benefits of being with the lord the bible says to die is gain and to live is christ. In order words, we live to please him in all things. There is life after this pandemic. We shall use our wounds and our pain to build our faith and our resolve to keep our heads high. This is the will of the father unto his children. We shall overcome whatever this pandemic has in store for us. As the world gradually reopens, as the churches reopens, we shall go out of our way to proclaim the news: 2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. The world has reopened yet. There is no vaccine, but we believe we shall make it through. That is FAITH.
