When prayers go further

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. While many Christians living in some countries will never attend church, that is not fitted with spilt air-conditioners and guarded car parks to against careless parking, others deem it compulsory to always pray to be like the richest deacon in the church. That is where their prayers ends. A cacophony of voices raging against heaven for more financial breakthroughs. spurred on by messages fixated on the benefit of being wealthy by the pastors, they fire on every Sundays the only time they attend church service. The only time they tell you they are filled with faith is that one day God will answer their prayers for stupendous wealth. That to them is faith that move mountain; not the faith that can pray for those in bondage to be released, not the faith that can bang on the door of heaven for communist countries to become free for christian to preach the good news. We longed for those days when men call on church members to go on their knees for those facing persecution in other lands, those days when men are in prayers and fasting because of some dismal report concerning men of faith. Let us have back men of faith praying in secret for pastors in the forefront; that they may find God’s protection against attacks by the enemies. Let us have back men and women earnestly praying for their pastors. We need men who will take a day off and make it a time to pray for pastors all over the world, for publishers of the gospel in media or digital formats. Let us pray for big christian organization we know for God’s sustenance . Have now limited our God to a God who only answers prayers for our material needs and personal comforts? Prayers that our kids and kins may excel and outdo others in the classes? Yet, we say it is alright because we do not seek the death of others, but our own progress? Not until we pray for others facing persecution and instant death for carrying the bible God will do nothing about it. It is the prayers of the church that released peter for the hang mans noose. 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Those the devil wants to devour are the christians not those under already under his control.John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. According to christian post report, a 16-year-old Christian boy from India’s Bihar state, who suffered burns to 65% of his body in an acid attack by suspected Hindu nationalists last month, succumbed to his wounds in the hospital this week. Any christian wounded or killed is a plus to the kingdom of darkness. That is why the following report is interesting: Pastor Shaibu, CAN chairperson of Sumaila LGA in Kano, Northern Nigeria, was targeted and brutally butchered to death by Muslim youths in Masu village in Kano because as they said, “his mission is growing,” such reports keeps rising daily it is high time the message form our exulted pulpit focus on intercession and prayers for the saints, it is time to pray for those facing death threat, for those languishing in prisons for preaching the gospel in some countries. Now is the time for our prayers to go further, now it is time to knock on heaven’s gate on behalf of our brethren facing death in other clime while we have the freedom where we are. It is good to thank God for being alive , but it is more Godly to ask for comfort and protection for those in the mists of danger from the enemies. It is when prayers request go further that enemies are quieted, even converted. Isaiah 58:6-7 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Brother Nitish kumah and pastor Shuaibu died at the hands of merciless men for their faith. Who is next? Your prayers can go further and save the next christian marked for death. We can loose the bands of wickedness, undo the heavy burdens, and let the oppressed go free, and break every yoke through praying further, interceding further and standing in the gap further. The glaring and gratisque remains of a christian organisation chairperson says it all. From Cape to Cairo, from Mexico to Manila, persecution is rife. with a pained heart, see you in church!
