Pastor Adeboye in Amsterdam
The general overseer of one of the most popular Pentecostal ministry based in Nigeria, pastor Enoch Adeboye of RCCG, is expected in Amsterdam to EUROCON. This is not the first time that this program is taken place; it involves interdenominational and pastor spread across Europe will be visiting. Hotels are always fully booked.
This time we want to expect the unregenerate, those who have no Inkling of who this Jesus is, what his death has done for them and faith in him can save them from damnation, and those who do not know his power to deliver and to save. To pastors in Europe the fact that evangelism do not produce the expected result in continental Europe. This is a continent that is steep in their own ways and trust in themselves. There is Need of great revival, the land is thirsty for signs and wonders, the visitation of the Lord; the like that was experienced in California, Azusa revival. Let us break the fallow ground Hosea 10:12, Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. This one program should for once, be focus on the Dutch community and other ethnic group in Amsterdam and its environs, what we call proselyte. The conversion of majestic church building to sport halls, discotheque and recreational centers is still on, the dependence of the young populace on psychedelic drugs and of recent laughing gas, is spreading like wildfire. What we see in the local Pentecostal churches is inter-movement or inter conversion; which is moving from one church to another ranging from various reasons that will baffle the mature mind. Hardly is a new convert, those you see among the youths are there because they have a parent who insists on their coming to church not because they pride themselves on being a Christian or enjoy fellowship of the brethren. Among them 60% are always on their phone doing one thing or the other. The atmosphere around the city Centre is that of drugs, red lights districts and lasciviousness and debauchery that is acceptable by the laws of the land. In school they are told not to bother with religion that is old fashion and to report to the authority if they have a parent who seem to bother them about church. That is why I say the Dutch community need the message of salvation. They must see and feel this power in order to believe us, many can not understand as they say they have all they need, like the church in Laodicea Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: but let them know what Matthew 16:26 says, For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness. We should deal with the principalities that controls these areas with in this visitation. It is still possible for the young generation to be won over. It has to start somewhere in any of the cities in Europe. Amsterdam may well be that city. The bible reminds us in the book of Hebrews that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.
see you there!
