Insufficiency is the glory of a living church
Matthew 16:15-18. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not Revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.The church is the body of christ, and HE is the head of that body. Every creature has eyes near its head. Iesus Christ is the head and the eyes, and therefore, HE it is that gives the church wherein Jesus is the author and finisher shall base its continuity on revelations from the Holy spirit which He promised and indeed, happened on the day of Pentecost. We can deduce, therefore, from this statement that the church shall experience firstly opposition and secondly there is a continuity of the church despite the persecutions it will face. Thi...
