  1 Corinthians 1:20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? The wisdom of the world can not in any way come near, let alone surpass the wisdom of the most- high God. Scientist has been perplexed by the wisdom of God in many ways. And to say the least, the incarnation of God as a mere man; who walked the face of this earth, whose birth is celebrated all over the world on december25th. Indeed, like the song goes, ‘Joy to the world thy king is born let the earth receive her king!!   Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing , and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.What do you understand by this word “ righteousness”,? It means a right standing with God in all ways and in all ramifications, spotless and free from  sin and spiritual blemish. Proverbs 14:34,  Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. There is a lifting and exaltation to any people who attains righteouness.Alas! no man has been able to attain  Gods  standard of righteousness, hence, the lamentation in the book of Isaiah is undertandable.
