What is required[2]
Psalms 51:2, Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
There lies within man frailties that we never knew were there until they put us in an embarrassing situation[s] or we do not even want to admit they [frailties] there. A man who comes to himself, look critically at himself, like a man beholding his true features in a mirror, embrace his reflection. That is the beginning of growth, maturity and above all, humility, which is a required before God. Apostle Peter, was a victim of this deception when he refused to agree with Jesus when Christ foretold of his imminent betrayal at his hands. [ we serve a God we knows us than we know ourselves, He knows what we are capable of doing, and what we can not pull off because he knows us all therefore, when we approach his place we must do so admitting and believing all he says about us. This is humility, and when we take this approach he can then work in our lives producing, what men shall see the next morning and ask what has happened to us. They will see that our approach, our perspective and our demeanor has somewhat change, yet they can not know what have happened to us as the person they use to know; we become attractive to some while others may not like it because we have become light and no darkness can stand us; we have left them at the seat of the scornful and have departed walking in their ways. See psalm one. In the bible we come across a man whose son was tormented with a dumb spirit.Mark 9:18, And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not. It is noteworthy here that the faith and humility of this man, later gave his son healing. we too may be in a situation where a loved one is facing a situation he can’t even speak or confess. our faith, humility can effects the needed healing on his behalf. This father's victory came when he said, Mark 9:24, And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. He believed otherwise, he would not have come to Jesus disciples for the elusive cure, but here before Jesus, he admits he does not know if his faith is too fragile, too weak, to get his son healed. Humility plus faith gives the needed victory; a place many are found wanton today. What is required to stop the circle of renewed resolution is a place at the feet of Christ, asking him for help, for it is not by might nor power. See Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. God bless you as you try this new approach. You can be a new man!
