Self evaluation

Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? Let us read together Luke 9:54-56, And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

Self evaluation is a humble yardstick to our capabilities, and how far people also rates us, by listening how other perceive our action or contributions to society. Even though relying on the external to know our worth is very difficult, as men often will acknowledge our worth after our departure from earth. With a christian, the way to know is through the word of God, the bible. The bible teaches us to test every spirit if it is of God, just like Jesus rebuke those disciples who thought they were showing love and devotion to Jesus by asking that he send fire to consume others.1 John 4:1, Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. These false spirits do not dwell in houses nor boats, or camps, but they dwell in man. Because bodiless spirits seek to dwell in human rather than animals. In man, they can control, wreak havoc and do all abominable things that shock us, these kinds of people are out there and some of them are inside the church. The bible says of them,Matthew 7:16, Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? If we must know how far we are doing character-wise, we must remember and take heed of this passage in Psalms 119:9 BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. The bible is a whole compendium of his will for us, how to conduct ourselves, our responsibilities in the present day world and it helps us to know if we are walking in faith and in the truth. It behooves us as christian to ask God for his spirit, for without the Spirit of God we can not go far in this race. The Spirit enables us to do the will of God in a world that is alienated from the ways of God. We must always be exposed to the word of God, reading, meditating on it see Joshua 1:8, This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. We must test our tendencies always by juxtaposing every thought, action with the word of God and not like the early disciples who wanted Jesus to send fire from heaven. Our thoughts may not be that far, but do we wish evil to our perceived enemies? Do we wish others that are no Christians to die and go to hell? Your prayer is only for yourself, family? And no time to intercede for those who are yet wallowing in ignorance of the deity of Christ? Do we act in love with all, thereby showing them how God loves everybody and does not disire any to perish? Can our neighbour vouch for our warm greetings and smiles and little assistant when the situation arises. common things like dumpimg your trash outside the designated place not being polite inside the lift can go along way in showing you in negative light and make others question your faith. The world looks at us as the bible. Paul said ti young Timothy in his epistle 1 Timothy 4:12, Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. If we find ourselves falling short of these little ways we can ask for help that is available to all christians see James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Invite the spirit that will enable you see Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

See you in church
