DO SIN OF PARENT HAVE EFFECT ON THEIR OFFSPRING

 Here we are talking about if consequences of sin can be transferred to the offspring of the transgressor. I make bold to reiterate the obvious, that sin has consequences. Let me quote from the authority of the world the bible. Romans 6:23 for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

What is a wage? It is what a laborer earns at the end of his task, calculated hourly. On the Flipside, a gift is not based on your labor, but is just given by the benefactor.

For clarification, I want to divide sin into three categories:

Inherited sin: [this gives a glimpse into the fact that sin is transferable.. Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man, sin entered into the world and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: When the first man Adam sinned he passed upon all his offspring the deadly effect. The psalmist cried out in ‘Psalms 51:5, ‘Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me’.

Therefore, the effect of sin on humans is that it separates us from our maker, God almighty.

Secondary sin is those committed by us as individuals. Just like some illness led to weakness of our body and some can cause death. So too is sin. If I steal from you it is sin, if I commit adultery it is also sin; but if I kill another human, it is a sin on another level. Now, the ones like stealing or being dishonesty can cause in setting in motion the law of Kama and civil justice. The bible says, ‘we reap what we sow”. if I sow hatred I shall reap hatred, if I sow love I shall reap same. These are neither inherited sin nor transferable ones.

Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

2 Samuel 3:29 Let it rest on the head of Joab, and on all his father’s house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that hath an issue, or that is a leper, or that leaneth on a staff, or that falleth on the sword, or that lacketh bread.

The above bible passages make it pop and plain that transgressions that are passed on the generation of the offender.

To be continued.
