Pascal’s Wager thing

One can hardly be surprise at the lack of spirituality and absence of godliness in our society. Let us not even talk about our educational system where christian values that were once the hallmarks, have been gradually stripped of such values . On the church, virtues and messages of godliness, kindness and love, forgiveness and humility, have been watered down to messages of how to excel, how to be the best, how to silence your haters. Seminars on marketing, are being held in place of churchrevivals, christ is hardly taught and the message of the cross is either absent, or seen, as boring. In some countries, majestic looking church halls have been converted to shpping malls and cinema halls. In the home front, parent do not see eye to eye on how to raise thier children, or live them to develop in thier own way. No one cares about good morals or strive to imbibe in thier children and ward , the fear of God. Yet, these are the three places were the leaders of tomorrow are formed and nurtured [home, church, and school]. Who do we blame for the societal decadence? Are the Messengers failling in delivering the messenge? No one can answer this, but then the Bible also predicts that in this last days, things of this nature will not be uncommon.see 2 Timothy 3:1-2 (KJV) This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy. But i have come to rely on one way to tell others of the existence of God. The ‘pascal wagner theory.’ It says that those who do not believe in the existence of God can not be written off as they have persuasive reasons to say so, inorder words, there is no heaven and there is no hell,and what remains of man after death is ‘skelotonization’, the last process after death and when they die, they just follow the biological breakdown; no soul, no spirit, no judment no reward for good or evil. To me, that is also faith——- believing what you are not so sure about. yet, you say, why do christian believe what they are not so sure about?. On the other hand, those who believe that there is another life also have a lot of reasons, and examples to sight. Pascal, says if that is the case let us ‘wagner it’, Like let us bet on it. where does your bet falls? believe in God or not? if you do not beleive and, peradventure, there is heaven and there is hell, you have lost out, but if you beleive and later, there is no heaven or hell, then you will not lose, either way; whichis a win- win situation for the believers. Let this be an incentive for us all to search for God because you will not lost out if you do.Pascal, says that there are three kinds of people: those who have sought God and found him, those who are seeking and have not yet found, and those who neither seek nor find. The first are reasonable and happy, the second are reasonable and unhappy, the third are both unreasonable and unhappy. where do you belong? MARANATHA!
