POWER TO PROSPER

Deuteronomy 8:18  But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for   it is   he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as   it is   this day. One could easily sneer at such a promise coming from a mere mortal, especially in these austere times with the powerful nations admitting near failure in proffering solutions. ‘But thou shall remember the lord thy God for it is he that gives thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swear unto thy fathers, as it is this day’. The exception to the above rule is that this promise is for all who believes and is a member of the royal priesthood and a holy nation. See 1 Peter 2:9,  But ye  are  a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: what, therefore, is the power to get weal...

Man Castrates Self to serve God properly

Image
1 Kings 18:28  And they cried aloud, and   cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them. Wonders, they say, shall never end, but in Benue state of Nigeria, it was one step taken too far. Some ears tingle and some were completely Revulsed when the news broke; Terhemen Anongo, a 44-year-old resident of Gboko in Benue State, has removed his testicles “to avert sexual desire”. Anongo, who is a medical school drop-out, claimed the decision will enable him to serve God properly. Last year, he had removed one testicle by himself, almost losing his life. He came into limelight in March after he undertook the surgery, which resulted in profuse bleeding. The timely intervention of those who knew about his plight saved the situation as medical practitioners rallied round to give him attention. Anongo, who dropped out from the University of Ibadan medical school over alleged ill health, had said the castration was based on his relig...

NOT SO, BROTHER DELE BANJO

Image
Not so long ago, the social media platforms were awash with the open letter of one Dele Banjo, who claim to be a member of Deeper life ministry. In that said letter, he equally calls himself a political activist, anti-indecency campaigner, Christian teacher and the founder of the anti-indecency charity. He flays and faulted the general overseer of the ministry for allowing conventional music into the church thus, compromising what he has taught them for long. He frowns at the invitation the G.O. extended to gospel musician the likes of Don Moen. He wants gospels, hymns, and songs to remain the status quo. Here are the reasons I think he has missed it: Church doctrines are neither the ten commandments nor the christian law which Paul the apostle says is now written in our hearts.  Hebrews 10:16,  This  is  the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; It is fe...

Five-year-old Hanifa killed by her teacher

Image
Matthew 6:13  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Kano, a northern state in Nigeria and indeed the entire country and far beyond its borders, is still reeling from the shock and seething with pain and fury over evil- unheard-of, as committed by a proprietor of a school. The Kano State Government has shut Noble Kids Academy,in Nassarawa Local Government Area, where an abducted pupil, Hanifa Abubakar, was killed and buried. Her teacher, Abdulmalik Mohammed Tanko, who has been arrested by the police abducted five-year-old Hanifa on 4 December. Abdulmalik demanded a ransom of N6million but killed her after receiving the money. “On investigation, Abdulmalik confessed that the victim, Hanifa, was his student at a private school in Kwanar Dakata, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State,” the Kano Police Command said in a statement. “He kidnapped her and took her to his house where he contacted her rela...

MAKE GOD YOUR GREATPROVIDER

Image
YOU CAN NOT KNOW THE TRUEGOD FROM A WRONG SOURCE. A wrong information is misinformation and will make you deformed, and when you can not fire on all cylinders; only existing on half knoledge you become half-baked. Let us read from the Bible,  Exodus 16:4  Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove to them whether they will walk in my law, not. I always take my text from the king James. Here in this text, God almighty, the ever bearing God, the great provider came once more to the rescue of the children of Israel who always find it difficult to know the ways of this God or his immense power. They were prisoners of thier limited knowledge of who Jehovah is to them. Thier concept of God was developed by the various gods in the land they were slaves. There, every aspect of life has a god to pray to and offer sacrifice; if you want a bountiful harvest, then yo...

PARTNER WITH GOD FOR 2022

Image
Exodus 12:2  This month   shall be   unto you the beginning of months: it   shall be   the first month of the year to you. At what stage does success for a glorious year begin? Is it in the heart or in our action? If we do not note the beginning, there is little chance of ending well. We do not begin randomly or haphazardly and expect a perfect project at the end. God began his walk with man on earth in the book of Genesis. We are told in the book of  Genesis 1:1  In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. When we have a beginning, it is to mark the journey and how long till realization. When we involve God in the beginning of this year or indeed, subsequent years, we are bound to succeed because He is in our team. Do not involve God in the middle, but from the start; trust him for all your needs in 2022.  Psalms 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from   ev...

REQUIRED FAITH FOR 2022

Image
Matthew 17:21  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. Hebrews 11:6  But without faith  it is  impossible to please  him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and  that  he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.  How do you persuade God to take back what he has said or pronounced? After all, he has told us what comes out of his mouth shall not return until it has accomplished its mission and purpose. [life or death]. Let us read  Isaiah 55:11, So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper  in the thing  whereto I sent it. There is only one way to move God to do or to renege what he has ordered. To do that, put a smile on his face and a nod of approval from his Holiness [God too has emotion; God can be pleased or made angry see  Genesis 6:6  And it repented the LORD th...
