Patriarch Kirill backs invasion

Image
John 18:36  Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. When Patriarch Kirll spoke against the invaded Ukrainians, little did he know it will cause such a ripple; or he just did not care who his allegiance seems to point by voicing support for the Russian invasion of a sovereign state. T he h ead of the  Russian Orthodox church, Patriarch Kirill, a trusted ally of Vladimir Putin, has declined to condemn the Kremlin’s decision to invade its neighbour, referring to Russia’s opponents in Ukraine as “evil forces”. In a Sunday sermon last week he also said gay pride parades organised in the west were part of the reason for the war in Ukraine. In a swift reaction,   A Russian Orthodox church in Amsterdam has announced it is to split with the Moscow patriarchate, in the first known instance of a western-based church cutting...

OPEN LETTER TO THE CHRISTIANS IN UKRAINE

Image
Judges 11:13  And the king of the children of Ammon answered unto the messengers of Jephthah, Because Israel took away my land, when they came up out of Egypt, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and unto Jordan: now therefore   restore those  lands  again peaceably When the noise of war was sounding in Ukraine since September of last year 2021, the world thought it would never happen. For one, it was too expensive for the Russia and for the other it is rather quaint that a superpower would go invade a nation at his border with a close historical tie. Yet, here we are—– those trapped, hearing the thunderous sound of bombs and witnessing the ominous armoured tanks rolling. For those of us outside, watching the unfolding horror with disbelief as video clips filtered out on social media platforms. The outrage from the rest of the world was palpable. America and European union, responded with sanctions. The first time the word ‘WAR’, appeared in the bible, is in the book...

MINIMUM EFFORT WITH MAXIMUM GAINS!

Psalms 32:1  A Psalm   of David, Maschil. Blessed   is he whose   transgression   is   forgiven,   whose   sin   is   covered. That a man calls the undercarriage of an airplane “TYRE” does not mean it is called a tyre in aviation industry. So too that a man has a lot of wealth does not mean blessings from God in a spiritual sense. There are more than 1,000[ONE thousand] kinds of pronouncements in the bible that are termed blessings; thus, blessings are manifold. I have said much regarding God’s blessings, yet few of situations or things equated with blessings are not blessings. For example, many have the erroneous view that being awash with a lot of money shows blessings. If this is true, how come that many who are carrying out activities which is are at variance with the laws of the land are wealthy and have fleets of cars and flotilla of aircraft? If you say it is blessings from God, would a righteous God who can not stand sin a...

POWER TO PROSPER

Deuteronomy 8:18  But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for   it is   he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as   it is   this day. One could easily sneer at such a promise coming from a mere mortal, especially in these austere times with the powerful nations admitting near failure in proffering solutions. ‘But thou shall remember the lord thy God for it is he that gives thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swear unto thy fathers, as it is this day’. The exception to the above rule is that this promise is for all who believes and is a member of the royal priesthood and a holy nation. See 1 Peter 2:9,  But ye  are  a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: what, therefore, is the power to get weal...

Man Castrates Self to serve God properly

Image
1 Kings 18:28  And they cried aloud, and   cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them. Wonders, they say, shall never end, but in Benue state of Nigeria, it was one step taken too far. Some ears tingle and some were completely Revulsed when the news broke; Terhemen Anongo, a 44-year-old resident of Gboko in Benue State, has removed his testicles “to avert sexual desire”. Anongo, who is a medical school drop-out, claimed the decision will enable him to serve God properly. Last year, he had removed one testicle by himself, almost losing his life. He came into limelight in March after he undertook the surgery, which resulted in profuse bleeding. The timely intervention of those who knew about his plight saved the situation as medical practitioners rallied round to give him attention. Anongo, who dropped out from the University of Ibadan medical school over alleged ill health, had said the castration was based on his relig...

NOT SO, BROTHER DELE BANJO

Image
Not so long ago, the social media platforms were awash with the open letter of one Dele Banjo, who claim to be a member of Deeper life ministry. In that said letter, he equally calls himself a political activist, anti-indecency campaigner, Christian teacher and the founder of the anti-indecency charity. He flays and faulted the general overseer of the ministry for allowing conventional music into the church thus, compromising what he has taught them for long. He frowns at the invitation the G.O. extended to gospel musician the likes of Don Moen. He wants gospels, hymns, and songs to remain the status quo. Here are the reasons I think he has missed it: Church doctrines are neither the ten commandments nor the christian law which Paul the apostle says is now written in our hearts.  Hebrews 10:16,  This  is  the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; It is fe...

Five-year-old Hanifa killed by her teacher

Image
Matthew 6:13  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Kano, a northern state in Nigeria and indeed the entire country and far beyond its borders, is still reeling from the shock and seething with pain and fury over evil- unheard-of, as committed by a proprietor of a school. The Kano State Government has shut Noble Kids Academy,in Nassarawa Local Government Area, where an abducted pupil, Hanifa Abubakar, was killed and buried. Her teacher, Abdulmalik Mohammed Tanko, who has been arrested by the police abducted five-year-old Hanifa on 4 December. Abdulmalik demanded a ransom of N6million but killed her after receiving the money. “On investigation, Abdulmalik confessed that the victim, Hanifa, was his student at a private school in Kwanar Dakata, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State,” the Kano Police Command said in a statement. “He kidnapped her and took her to his house where he contacted her rela...
